Cascades and Central Oregon

The Oregon Cascades make up the heart and beauty of Oregon. The great outdoors offer numerous activities that will sure keep you entertained for years. Part of the Oregon Cascades includes popular destinations like Timberline Ski Lodge, Timothy Lake, Mt. Bachelor and Mt. Hood Ski Bowl. Not only can you ski and snowboard in the cascades you can do it year round at Timberline. While your up skiing in the summer time you can hike and mountain bike the hundreds of miles throughout the woods. While your in there there is a good chance you'll run into the pacific crest trail which crosses directly across Oregon, from border to border. Be forewarned ahead of time that you cannot ride your bike on this trail. You are only allowed to ride on horse back or by foot.

Fishing is another popular sport, that is practiced not only in the cascades but all over Oregon. Oregon is home to the Salmon which for hundreds of years Natives have been fishing off the Columbia River. The Deschutes River offers boat people who love to raft miles of fun. Also if you are into kayaking this is also a popular area where it is practiced. If your not into that type of boating, Hood River offers Kite Boarding and Wind surfing.
